Diving in

As I reflect on the Saturday classes I find myself coming to a consistent realization about my current writing and reading “habits” and processes.  I feel that multi-tasking has become an expected norm in my job and personal life and plays a signifcant role in how I go about completing tasks.  Multi-tasking is something we all must do as we have very busy lives and schedules inside and outside the office.  However, these Saturday classes are making me slow down a bit and become more analytical and critical.  The ability to be more analytical and critical, not just of my own work but also that of others is paramount to true progression and development in any endeavor.  Whether it is taking apart a specific reading assignment or participating in the peer review process I am gaining a better understading of how go about this process in a meaningful way.  The guidelines, outlines and prompts we have been given thus far have really helped me begin to formulate a plan for improving on this aspect of my learning.  Although it can be a difficult and daunting process I do know that improving in these areas will help me grow as a leader and I look forward to that challenge.
